GRANT CYCLES AND DEADLINES

Grant Cycles And Deadlines

The Foundation operates on a trimester grant cycle, and only accepts one grant application from an organization per 12 month period. Our grant cycle periods take up to four months, from the time of the grant application deadline to when an organization is notified of our decision. Applications are due three months prior to the Board meeting/decision month, and agencies will be notified of the board’s decision by the first week of the following month.

Grant applications are accepted up through 11:59 pm on the deadline date of each grant cycle. There are no extensions for deadlines that fall on a weekend or holiday. Please adjust your schedules accordingly.

Below are the foundation’s grant cycles, along with the corresponding application deadlines and decision dates. Please reference your grant cycle when communicating with the foundation.

January Grant Cycle

To be considered for a grant during our January cycle, you must submit an online grant application by our October 1st deadline. Applications will be accepted from September 1 through October 1. Our board of directors meeting takes place in late January, and you will be notified of our decision in early February.

May Grant Cycle

To be considered for a grant during our May cycle, you must submit an online grant application by our February 1st deadline. Applications will be accepted from January 1 through February 1. Our board of directors meeting takes place in late May, and you will be notified of our decision in early June.

September Grant Cycle

To be considered for a grant during our September cycle, you must submit an online grant application by our June 1st deadline. Applications will be accepted from May 1 through June 1. Our board of directors meeting takes place in late September, and you will be notified of our decision in early October.

Reporting

If your organization is a previous grant recipient, a Progress Report (formerly referred to as the final report) must be submitted with your new grant request in order to be considered for renewed funding.
